Louise Rennison books
Have you heard about Louise Rennison books?
Georgia Nicolson and Tallulah Casey
Louise Rennison did us all a favor when she created Georgia Nicolson's character. This is young lady that has the biggest problems in the world, like any teenager does. She needs to kiss the most popular guy in her high school, so she has to learn how to walk in high heels, and to choose the best lipstick. Of course her parents and teachers don't understand her, but she has the coolest friends that anyone can have. On first sight she appears to be shallow, but deep inside she is a very good person and has a good heart. She also owns a cat which is the most dangerous pet in the neighborhood and has a very demanding little sister. All of this makes these books very entertaining.
There are ten books about Georgia's adventures. And when you finish reading them, you will be pleased to find out, that Louis Rennison started creating a series about Georgia's cousin Tallulah Casey.
Tallulah is a very different type of girl. She's shy, but wants to be an actress. She also has boys issues, and will probably be a worthy successor of Georgia's work.
Adrian Mole
These books are written in a form of a boy's diary. Adrian Mole is a very ambitious person, and he has so many dreams. Unfortunately for him, this book is about dreams that never come true.
Adrian is a child from dysfunctional family, who wants to become a writer, but he is the only person who appreciates his work. In the beginning of the series Adrian is a young teenager, but trough these eight books about him, we can follow his growing, and the biggest part of his life. These books are funny and satiric and they are not only a biography of this fiction character, but also a critic of social and political environment in the world today.
